About Muladhara

Muladhara translated from Sanskrit means Root of existing and relates to the very first chakra, symbolized by the elephant and representing connection with physical being and Earth. Often compared with the primary stages of famous Maslow’s pyramid of needs, it resembles safe and secure home. Since we are born, we are naturally tempted to find the material equivalent to every feeling we experience. So often we use the definition feels like home when we talk about the buildings we live in, partners we create our romantic relationship with, countries we reside in, and… even companies we work at. Consequently, once we lose one of those life components, we grief as if we lose our safety and security, our home. But the truth is, if you can’t find home within yourself, you won’t find it anywhere.

It’s pretty easy to experience peace and conscious living, sense of safety and strength while enjoying the shelter of harmonious ashram. But how to be more mindful in your daily life, so that your own body becomes the nicest and safest place to relax and recharge?

75 minutes Hatha Yoga practice, focusing on the specific area of the body and mind.

Usage of Yoga equipment: mats, blocks, straps, meditation cushions and blankets.

Tips Prior the Practice

At least for 1 hour avoid heavy meals and drinks

Arrive on Time (~10 min. before).

Grab a small towel with you.

Clothing that won't restrict your movement and won't ride up or flop over your head.

Remember - Yoga is a personal practice, and everyone's abilities and goals are different.

It's OK to say no to an adjustment if the teacher's hands-on approach isn't what you want.

The most important thing to remember is to keep on breathing!

Laugh if you fall out of a pose, smile when things get difficult!
